Chief officer must have experience with this Dutch system: the hatch cover system is handled by a gantry crane that runs along the hatch coaming. Attached to this portable bridge which is moving the hatch cover panels is a wire/cable-reel that provides the electric power to the bridge and this reel resp. cable keeps getting damaged.
